Kelly Clarkson Defends American Idol, Disses Taylor Swift's Label President
I would prefer to get it tattooed across my ass, but I didn't have time to stop at the shop today so I'll just type out my message instead: TAYLOR SWIFT SUCKS!
Taylor Swift gave an awful performance at this year's Grammys, one that I have no idea what it sounded like cause I fast forwarded it on my DVR, and Taylor has been under attack cause she sounded like vomit. Yep, in other words, Taylor's singing was awful.

Taylor's record label president, Scott Borchetta, defended Taylor by giving the following statement which infuriated Kelly Clarkson. Scott said: ”She is the voice of this generation... This is not American Idol. This is not a competition of getting up and seeing who can sing the highest note. This is about a true artist and writer and communicator. It’s not about that technically perfect performance.”
Scott admitted that "maybe" Swift isn't "the best technical singer." But what should matter is that "She’s probably the best emotional singer because everybody else who gets up there and is technically perfect, people don’t seem to want more of it.”
Kelly took to her blog to post the following response:
“Wow …..Dear Scott Borchetta: I understand defending your artist obviously because I have done the same in the past for artists I like, including Taylor, so you might see why its upsetting to read you attacking American Idol for producing simply vocalists that hit ‘the high notes’.
Kelly continued, letting Scott know what it takes to compete on American Idol: "You know what, we not only hit the high notes, you forgot to mention we generally hit the ‘right’ notes as well.
Every artist has a bad performance or two and that is understandable, but throwing blame will not make the situation at hand any better..."
Kelly ends her open letter by telling Scott to man up: Instead of lashing out at other artists (that in your ‘humble’ opinion lack true artistry), you should simply take a breath and realize that sometimes things won’t go according to plan or work out and that’s okay.
Sincerely,
One of those contestants from American Idol who only made it because of her high notes.
BAM!

Lets get the real truth here, The Grammy's that were shown online showed Taylor presenting her songwriter, liz, who in turn said a 14 year old girl asked her to write songs for her. Taylor may have had input on what she wanted 2 sing about but lets give credit 2 the Real Songwriter here.Big music companies build these artists. The music compayies chance on the fact they want their money back\,Taylor had 2 be given several awards before the album could even replace the money they put into promoting it. Payola is still practiced.
When a album debuts, its the record label that secures the top spot on the charts. Then comes the air play which is played on radio station that are owned by big corporations that are all tied 2gether.
The only tech problem Taylor Swift had was singing without her filter.
She is not a country star, Clive Davis got his noise in country music and has added pop 2 it. Worse decision ever made for country music.
Dont let his history fool you. He doesnt have secret powers 2 know what is going 2 be a hit. He knows how to successfully promote his decision through power of money which in turn is used for payola for the charts, marketing, and air play.
I completely agree...I mean, for me nobody is a real singer if they can't sing live. I actually think a live concert is what defines if an artist is a real artist and not another commercial product created by the big record labels. Taylor Swift was created just to cover a market niche that wasn't filled. and that is ok, but it doesn't give her or her company the right to think she is better than anybody else...
